Route:
Day 1
Kathmandu - Tumlingtar (by flight) - Khandbari
Kathmandu - Khandbari (by bus)

Day 2
Khandbari - Num (39km/3hrs by jeep/Rs550)
Num - Tashi Gaun (13km/6hrs trek)

Day 3
Tashi Gaun - Khongma Dada (5.6km/ 5hr trek)
(due to steel uphill climb, it is reccomended to stay at Khongma Dada)

Day 4
Khongma Dada - Dobato - Yangle Kharka (16km/8 hrs trek)
This part is also known as Shipton's Pass
(The pass was named when Eric Shipton and Sir Edmund Hillary used this route enroute to Dharan after their 1952 Everest reconnaissance)

Yangle Kharka is the place which divides trail to Makalu Base Camp and Shivadhara.

Day 5
Yangle Kharla - Langmale Kharka - Makalu basecamp (16km / 8 hrs trek)

Day 6
Makalu Base camp - Yangle kharka (5 hours)
Yangle Kharla - Shivadhara (2.5 hrs steep uphill)
Shiva dhara - Yangle Kharka

Day 7
Yangle Kharka - Khongma Dada

Day 8
Khongma dada - Seduwa - Num (7hrs trek)
Num - Khandbari (3hrs jeep)

Day 9
Khandbari - Kathmandu
